I am considering buying a bootleg Roxy CD, probably recorded somewhere between 1972 and 1975, studio sessions or live.

Has anyone any experience regards quality, content, reputable sites, etc.

Thanks!

There are quite a few kicking around from that period. Do you know the title?

Thanks for the reply Roxy,
I don`t have any particular CD in mind. Is there a choice available covering this period?

Double CD ‘First Kiss’ is great. See link below for details. Hope I am not breaching site rules by linking/referring to a rival Roxy site!

Not at all, there are no 'rival' sites, all Roxy sites have something to offer and the more sites the better.

Too right.

I look for finger on "the Pulse" info here. But for checking Roxy/Ferry history Roxyrama is indespensable.

Buy?!

There is a fair amount of early Roxy available on various torrent sites -- Dime, HungerCity, Demonoid -- for free. Why on Earth would you want to give money to some bootlegger?

Highly recommended downloads:

BBC Sessions 1972-1973
Fabulous Creation (Newcastle 1974-10-28 SBD + bonus tracks)
1975-02-20 Orpheum Theatre, Boston, MA (Joe Maloney recording)
1976-03-08 Calderone Theatre, Hempstead, NY
1976-03-16 IMA Auditorium, Flint, MI

There are other shows from this period in circulation, but most are average quality audience recordings.

The old site was the ultimate Roxy/Ferry thesaurus before the upgrade to this site.
I suspect it will be again once things are finalised! :D

Some of the early boots have the same tracks on but in different combinations.

As well as those mentioned above,

Bitter Sweet
Re-make/Re-model
Chance Meeting
Thrill of it All
