Post subject:  We want a new album !
Not a live, not a best of, not a remixed, we want a new Roxy Music album!
People who will go to the concerts this summer should perhap's write this on a banner so the band could see that!

I don't think that would be of any help! If the inspiration was/is there, there would be a new album! The fact that there is none, means the vibrations were not good enough. I do would LOOOOOVE a new roxy album too, but I prefer no album over a bad one. So I guess you'll just have to accept.

We know little of the reasons why (I take it that you know what I mean). However, Phil has stated that "some of it is fantastic", to use his own words. This gives hope.

Well, I am very concerned. Bryan's last few outputs have been okayish but nothing great. Roxy's legacy is legendary. So , I have to admit, I would also prefer no new album to a duff one. Let the name rest peacefully.

I can not believe inspiration was not there, really not! Listen to what Brian Eno said on the last DVD (the vibrations were there, Ann, :) ) read what Phil said about the 9 songs they recorded. And Bryan never lost his inspiration, why whould he lose it with Roxy? It seems impossible to me these songs stay in the shadow.

If you are right jeanjean, and the inspiration and the vibes were there... why isn't there a new album then? The only valid reason would be for commercial reasons : as Bryan wants to launch a new solo album, it would be stupid to launch a new roxy at the same time - you cannot promote and tour for 2 different discs. That would mean a new roxy would come out maybe next year or so??? I hope this is true but yet I find it hard to believe. Maybe there came out a few brilliant songs, but not enough to fill a whole album with. And then I would understand Bryan and co. is they say : better no album than one with only a few goods songs and the rest rubbish.

If there are only a few good songs, fill it up with covers! Alas, the sadness Bry shows up during interviews is very telling. I think he sees that he has lost his voice, and without a voice, no new Roxy album!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not?
That's what happened with Manifesto, Flesh + Blood, and Avalon.
If there are only a few top quality songs then release them as an EP.
