Absoluted delighted for my favourite band in the world EVER!

Now Mr. Ferry, what's your excuse for no last tour now then?

I'll second that

Barring some catastrophic circumstance, I don't see anyway that TGPT will miss the induction ceremony. He will enjoy every minute of the well deserved acclaim!!!

Perhaps (I stress PERHAPS) this will prompt BF to consider playing some Roxy reunion concerts. Not some major tour, but perhaps a select number of concerts in prestigious venues. The tickets would draw super premium prices and make it worthwhile for all concerned. But, conversely, BF may stick to his post-2011 game plan and forego the joys of a Final Fling.

In the absence of the RRHF honor I think there would be little chance for a Roxy reunion. But this turn of events puts it back in the realm of possibility...

Wonder if Eno takes part In festivities? Not expecting
Any reunion shows so I will definitely be on stubhub
buying tickets. Probably last chance to ever see them
together again, albeit for only 3 songs. A long night but hopefully
worth the 15 minutes.
Curious who will give the induction speech??

Phew! Finally, they're getting it right. I think that Brian and Eddie will show up. As far as the person doing the induction, I'm guessing here, but I think that it will be either Nile Rodgers or Bono. Bono made a comment from the stage when U2 were inducted (something to the effect of "Can we get Roxy in here?").

At long last… Thirty years too late, I would say… But anyway, a a ray of light in this period of artistic darkness.

I agree with Robertron that Niles Rodgers and Bono would be logical and appropriate inductors for Roxy. And Bono's connections to Eno through their long time collaborations on U2 albums would also (presumably) provide an inducement for Eno to show up at the March 29th ceremony!

By the way, in yesterday's NYTimes crossword, Eno showed up as an answer to the clue 52 Across:

"'Here Come the Warm Jets' musician"

From latimes.com: "....As has increasingly been the case in the six years since officials instituted a fan-voting component in 2012, acts ultimately chosen for induction also strongly reflect the vox populi: Def Leppard won that balloting this year, collecting more than 500,000 votes among the total of 3.3 million entered in the fan competition.
Similarly, Nicks, the Zombies and the Cure were among the five fan favorites who are to be inducted. Only Rundgren, among the top five in the public vote, didn’t make the final cut. Radiohead was the lowest ranked by fans among the 15 acts on the final ballot, placing 10th.
The results of that contest, however, don’t significantly impact the selection process. The way it’s set up, the five top vote-getters in the fan balloting each receive one additional vote toward their overall total....."

This means that it was the more than 1,000 artists, including current living Inductees, historians and members of the music industry that voted Roxy into the RRHoF ???
And not an induction due to voting campaigns on artists' web-sites. Because there were really no serious campaigns on any Roxy site I know of.
That makes this even more impressive in my humble opinion.

From a link on the previous RRHoF thread:
While the RRHOF Class of 2019 is decided by an international body of more than 1,000 voting members, fans can impact the vote by going to RockHall.com and casting a ballot (one a day) for the artist they think needs to be in the Hall's ranks. Voting starts Oct. 9 and goes through Dec. 9, 11:59pm ET. The top 5 artists the public selects will comprise a 'fans' ballot' that is tallied along with the other ballots. Fans can also vote in-person at the Rock Hall in Cleveland.

Clear as mud!
