For the German speaking members a review on "A Song For Europe" by Joe Paul Kroll in the renowned "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung":

https://www.faz.net/aktuell/feuilleton/ ... 43085.html

I am always happy when I find an article on Bryan Ferry or Roxy Music . In this case an old friend who lives in Munich told me about it.

The author makes a connection between the EU accession of the United Kingdom in 1973, the European Song Contest and the release of "Stranded" in the same year. He also mentions that it has been the first album without Eno - but the one he likes most.

Verses of Lord Byron and the lyrics of the song are reprinted and as a conclusion the author thinks that old Europe is gone - Notre-Dame got up into flames, the flair of Venice destroyed by cruise ships. UK is no more a member of EU and Roxy Music is history, too (two points that I would like to add ...).
