Sad news - Peter Sinfield who produced Roxy’s debut LP and also the Virgina Plain single passed away yesterday 14 November 2024. |

I remain a huge Crimson fan, but I always found Sinfield's lyrics a little twee. But he was a pivotal part of so many bands I love, (Roxy, Crimson, PFM). His solo album, "Still", has some great moments. Sad news |

Fairly prolific writer for others, later in his career. As diverse as 'Heart Of Stone' (Cher) and 'Land Of Make Believe' (Bucks Fizz). I guess he had a shrewd eye on his pension. RIP. |

Yes I’m sure he had a good pension fund. I just read on the BBC website that he earned about £20K each Christmas just from the Greg Lake hit! That reminds of a story I read in a King Crimson article about a saying that went around the roadie fraternity in the 1970s:- The 3 worst things you could have on tour were toothache, earache & Greg Lake! |
