I found the English translation of the French lyrics of "A Song For Europe." Now please, does someone know the English translation of these Latin lyrics:

"Ecce momenta
Illa mirabilia
Quae captabit
In aeternum
Memor
Modo dolores
Sunt in dies
Non est reliquum
Vero tantum
Comminicamus
Perdita"

You just recopied my reply. What happened? BTW: I found a translation on this site:
http://rateyourmusic.com/board_message/ ... is_2394432

Ecce momenta
Illa mirabilia
Quae captabit
In aeternum
Memor
Modo dolores
Sunt in dies
Non est reliquum
Vero tantum
Comminicamus
Perdita.

Here are all those wonderful moments
that he who remembers tries to catch for all eternity.
Today only sorrow,
nothing really is there (for us).
We just share the past (lost things, literally).

Dear Elshiva,
by the side of each quoted Latin lyrics line I wrote the words in English (can you read them?)
BTW,the translation provided by a Latin teacher is far more trustworthy :?

You're translation is helpful, too. But, yes, I have to agree with you, because that person claimed to be a Latin teacher. I only had a semester of Latin and I forgot most of it!

Always loved Mr Ferry crooning those Latin lyrics with his English pronunciation !
It makes him even sexier ;)

he speaks the Latin in the original recording and in most concert videos I've seen. He actually croons the French part. OH JAMAIS, JAMAIS, JAMAIS! That's really sweet. :D
