Post subject:  Chris Blackwell autobiography

Just to flag up for anyone who, like me, viewed the pink rim palm tree logo on the Island Records centre labels as a sign of guaranteed quality, that CB published his memoirs last week.

I went to a signing session at Waterstones in Tottenham Court Road on Thursday and it was preceded by an interview conducted by his co-author Paul Morley. Although age (he'll turn 85 next month) has left CB a bit deaf, he is still an engaging raconteur.

He was amused when I told him that his Wikipedia page is a better read than some books; if you want to judge for yourselves, you can find it here...
