I haven't read it yet, only skimmed the first paragraph as I was in a hurry to leavework, it looks interesting and comprehensive:

As someone who likes assessments such as this to be a bit more linear, Matt bounces about a bit in his writing, but it's an entertaining read.

As is invariably the case, there's little new for those here, but it's certainly interesting to get an appreciation of BF's career from an eloquent journalist who, crucially, wasn't even born in the first half of it!

As a side note, it's been enjoyable hearing and reading BF's thoughts on his solo work to promote 'Retrospective'. Whilst he's still rather guarded about what he says, there seems to be a new ease about how he says it, that breathes an engaging, fresh life into some of the memories and anecdotes we've read so many times before.

Thanks for sharing EERO.

Two new studio albums planned for 2025, it seems.

Thank you, True2Life, for posting this.

So two (sic!) new Ferry albums are on their way. That's good news inbetween all the bad news from the world. I suppose that we can look forward to an album in the "Star" style and another one with instrumental music.

By the way: Merry Christmas to everybody who is reading this forum, posting from time to time and especially to the man who works on it so many hours a year: John O'Brien - thank you very much!

- Peter -

A very merry Christmas to all on here especially John for providing this platform for all of us Ferry/Roxy devotees for all of these years. It does seem as though 2025 will have some delights in store for us all.

I'd like to echo the thanks to True2Life, for posting this latest link.

I hope the optimism of two new albums in 2025 doesn't end up being consumed by delay.
Note to BF: don't let perfection be the enemy of the good (or, more accurately, I'm sure, the excellent)!

What with recent positive rumblings about the FYP SDE and an Avalon big box, 2025 might be an embarrassment of riches. Here's hoping!

In the meantime, I'd also like to add to the festive felicitations toward JO'B (thank you) and all VRM followers. Enjoy the Christmas period, however you choose to mark it.

@True2Life

@True2Life

Thank you for posting the article.

Normally, the report should make me very happy and curious about what he will present to his many fans in 2025.

Unfortunately, the past has shown far too often that despite various announcements, little to nothing has happened.

I'll just wait and see what happens and wish Mr. Ferry and his team (including the Roxy musicians) all the best and, above all, continued good health in the new year.

I think that one of the many press interviews with Bryan to promote Retrospective said that he was at that moment signing off on the artwork for the first of his new albums so it does seem as if that is definitely on its way and hopefully before too long! I suspect that maybe a 2nd new album in 2025 might be a bit over ambitious but maybe a Roxy box in the autumn should be possible?

A very Happy New Year to all!!

Bonjour, mes amis!
Thanks Eero for the article. All these articles lately have been a nice read. Perhaps I´m wrong, but it seems to me that BF is a bit more open than usual.
Well, if we get one album the coming year, I am more than pleased.
Lately I´ve been listening a lot to BF;s live recordings. Friday night, red wine and BF, sometimes I wonder how on earth my wife endures the old man´s habits.
Bonne année à tous!
