Does anyone know if the songs released were all that was recoded during those sessions in 1973 and 1974. If not, what was leftover ?

If I remember correctly 'Will you Love me Tomorrow' was considered for 'TFT', but I'm not sure if any attempt was made to record it, even a rough demo, until 'Taxi' sessions of course.

As for 'ATAP', Bryan stated that other tracks were worked on, but didn't get past the demo stage. No titles for these tracks have ever been revealed. I believe most of the Roxy/Ferry doodlings which were not ultimately released were 'wiped' and the tapes re-used.

All the above is from my somewhat faulty memory, so don't take it as Gospel.

Thanks BlankFrank. Any information is interesting ! I remember Manzanera saying once that Roxy had a stab at Light my Fire byThe Doors. Dunno if it was actually recorded though.

It was tried out for the avalon tour, I'm guessing that they did like a hurricane instead.

I find it very strange that there are no demos/alternate takes left from the 70's by Roxy or Ferry. Artists (re Ferry's training) are renowned for keeping their sketch and idea books for years. So I would have thought Ferry would have done the same. ??? :?

Well he knocked out Roadrunner and Ticket to Ride on the 1977 tour so you would have thought that these were recorded in the studio first and then played back to see what they sounded like before performing them live on tour. And he also performed Woolly Bully more recently as well. Knowing Bryan as we do , I would have thought that all try outs were recorded .

I'm guessing here. But I would think Bryan would put a list of songs together and Colin Goode would arrange and re-hearse the band and Bryan would come in once all this is done. I am thinking more of his solo shows, rather than Roxy.
However, with Woolley Bully were in the 1977 and 2004(?) shows which both had the old rocker Chris Spedding in the line-up. Perhaps it had something to do with him?

Wooly bully was I think Mick Greens idea during the frantic tour.

That version is a lot of fun on youtube. :D He's great with the hand gestures for the horns.

To expand on what Ashley said: Mick Green played Wooly Bully in a previous band and during the Frantic tour they jammed it at a sound check before Ferry had arrived. He heard this on his arrival and decided to join in and add it to the set list.
