I momentarily considered the gig in Germany on 9th April, but I think I may wait for somewhere slightly more accessible (although getting to the German venue is a walk in the park compared with the acoustic gig in Zermatt!). For anyone thinking of travelling from the UK, the problem is that the cheap flights are to Frankfurt-Hahn airport and onward transfers seem to entail a bus to the city (1 hr 45 mins), then a train to Niedernhausen (30 mins or so). I don't know if it's possible to get a late train back to Frankfurt after the gig (I don't drive, but car hire might be an option for others, I guess). If not, Niedernhausen does have accommodation options, but they may be limited in a town with a population of only about 8,000 (or so Wikipedia says...). Will look forward to reading a report from anyone who attends the gig. |
