A short resume: "I live every day to the full" After two heartoperations I value life more. (Balloon and irregular heartrythm) Go to bed at midnight. I get up at nine. I stay away from the crazy life in contrast to my younger years. I am thinking of my music all the time. Dont like the new music on the radio. Onle some of it. Prince debutalbum is prob only album that could rival my early day heroes. Met Phil at a Beyounce concert. Friendly chat. Dont think a new Roxy record will happen. But if Phil came up with a supersong, like he did with "Song for Europe", I'm still ready! But for now Im very much into my own band. My son Isaac helps me in the studio and with the press. He has introduced me to a lot of dance-music so a lot happens. |

Here we have the quiet, serious BF. He's in bed by midnight, up at 9, always thinking about his music. No "up all night party-time wasting" for Our Hero. He has a job to do! His encounter with PM at a Beyounce concert seemed amiable. And he seemed to yet again squash any possibility of a new Roxy album. But then he dangled the notion that if a new "Song for Europe" suddenly appeared he was ready to record again with Phil and the boys. Hmmm. But then PM is somehow credited with writing SFE, leaving us to wonder if BF is desiring to diss AM who actually wrote the music for SFE. Oh the intrigue that ensues when trying to decode a BF interview! But he seems in good spirits, which is welcome news given that parts of his personal life appear to be in a state of transition. |

It`s scandalous. It was MacKay who took part in this song, not Manzanera. Just take a look at the album cover. This shows the unofficial side of Bryan. I can`t be mistaken in this. |

Maybe the reporter/interviewer messed up and mistakenly attributed SFE to PM. It's certainly not beyond the realm of possibility. In fact, the reporter/interviewer possibly (likely?) has never even heard SFE! I find it difficult to believe that BF does not know who wrote the music for SFE. Upon reflection, I think that the article's misattribution of song-writing credit represents an editorial snafu, and does not reflect BF's understanding of who wrote the music for SFE... Let's put it this way, I sure HOPE that it was an editorial glitch! |

Perhaps Bryan ment: "But if Phil came up with an idea/concept for a song...." and then Andy did the hard work..... |

Well, if so, this tells about the priority for this stuff these days, compared to the attention among us die-hards. - Only `bout 2 thousand attenders in a relatively big market as Denmark? |

2,000 attendees also struck me as rather low - certainly not a huge crowd. The economics of BF's gigging is tough to figure out, especially with such a large group of musicians to truck around. The fall tour in Britain is easier to reconcile, with a lot of gigs in a short time and where overhead costs are dispersed. But maybe the summer festival-type gigs are useful in keeping up his public image and lending cachet to his more remunerative private/party/corporate gigs. |
