Any further news on whether this will ever be released? It's almost 3 years now since it was first mentioned. At that time it seemed imminent - well as imminent as any Ferry release can be until confirmed. It's not going to sell by the crate load but, as mentioned here, an online release like Live 2015 might give the faithful something to enjoy while they hope for changes to the 2019 set list.

Cher,

True2Life, W2 shares your passion for this one.

Windswept attended the RAH fandango in Dec ‘74 and what a fabulous and totally innovative show it was. What’s more, as the first Ferry solo tour it would be an absolute must for any self reflecting Ferryista.

Marketed on tour (a la the ‘live’ album), Windswept would have thought it would have sold like the proverbial hot cakes !

Let’s hope that 45 years on, this June’s fandango matches that eclectic set list. Heaven knows, he has the material - back then he had only two solo albums to draw from !

Windswept continues to pray facing Penshaw Monument.

Salutations a tous,

W2

Sadly W2 I was only 11 at the time of the Dec 74 RAH fandango so it remains a closed book of delights for me - until such a time as it is finally officially released. I hope we get to hear it as I'm sure it will be a fascinating snapshot of a never-to-be-repeated time in setlist terms.

Cher True2Life,
It was an unbelievable evening and just such a huge surprise.
Having failed to get tickets for Newcastle City Hall, W2 headed south to TRAH and boy was the effort worth it.
Our hero arrived 'en smoking ' with a huge orchestra and gave a truly innovative performance.
The reaction of the 'Roxy' fans was extremely interesting. Some regarded it as treachery. Others saw it as the 'nouvelle vague' which it most surely was. Overall the response was rapturous .
Windswept lui-même thought it was just such an eye opener that somebody could have such great taste in music - he truly ploughed his own furrow and doubtless along with many other fans, W2 feels he owes him a huge debt for opening his eyes to so many different types of quality music.
Salutations,
Windswept
