Like WS2 I am thoroughly enjoying the "Bitter Sweet" album. However the mixed reaction to it even among the faithful in this hallowed cyberhall suggests that concerts supporting it may have a far more limited appeal to the multitude than an Avalon-based show would. The selction of material and its treatment on "Bitter Sweet" is better suited to the 2019 Ferry voice than (trying) to belt out the hits in a rock setting is. It's not 1982 anymore. However much we might hope for a genuinely new album of top-notch original material it does seem as though the well is dry.

Ferry ever the businessman is trying to juggle commerce and art here and commerce is winning out. Perhaps a handful of more intimate shows in support of the new/old album could still be arranged as well as the regular band shows? Having said that if we finally get my signature song played live at the Royal Albert Hall I for one will consider the venture worthwhile.

Mes Amis,
“True2Life” speaks truth to power.
W2 will keep his powder dry until he sees the set list and line up but this could be the first ever Roxy or Ferry tour he sits out.
He just can’t handle another bland show.
Sad because the Bitter-Sweet arrangements are fabulous and the perfect vehicle for today’s voice.
Salutations,
Windswept

Hipsters,
Uwe's news is making Windswept's Ferryometer rise.
Let's hope the band line up reflects the promise.
Salutations,
W2

Hi le freak,

in the article at the bottom was the following note:

The tour, which will also support Ferry's sixteenth solo album, Bittersweet, begins in Cape Town, South Africa on Valentine's Day and concludes in September in Vancouver.

Personally, I believe anyway that the tour will differ in content. In North America it is the Avalon Tour, in Africa, Australia, Asia and Europe there will certainly be other song contributions.
