“ I really like the traveling and like the playing - every night it’s a different audience “

He might have added “the songs remain the same” !

The warm up band:

"nothing matched the infectious energy of Love Means Everything, which was peak '80s with its thick bass, quirky muted guitar lines, metallic key twangs and ear-piercing sax solos – a set highlight."

Too bad if these "recording values" have been left alone back in the 80s. I never trusted Guy Pratt.

Chers amis!
Uwe, thanks for this report!

The set list is good and well balanced between hits, known songs & more obscure material. The problem for us in Europe is that we have heard it so many times. So why not a few changes? I think BF talked about it himself in some article. Some suggestions: A new opener, why not Don´t stop the dance? Replace Ladytron with Limbo, Stronger through the years with The name of the game, Love is the drug with Both ends burning, the hideous Virginia Plain with Running wild... That would do for me at least!
Prague, à bientot!

Salutations à tous!

How any Roxy Music fan can describe Virginia Plain as hideous is beyond me and to suggest replacing Ladytron with a crap song off of Bete Noire. Well each to their own I suppose.

Hipsters,
How polite and fidele Ferryistas are ?
Bryan, just a little bit of jam please.
W2 puts it more directly .... “Bryan, the exact same set list for the third year running, you must be having a jiraffe (local U.K. parlance for a laugh). For Europe, we need a completely new show and on the sartorial front, please oh please ditch that Englebert Humperdinck jacket !”
Salutations,
Windswept.

I don`t think Bryan will change his program in Europe. Probably two or three songs he will trade, it will not be more.
His performances in Germany will be promoted with a presentation of the Best of Hits (BF + Roxy). Imagine he left songs like LITD, LST, JG ... Then he would certainly have to expect on the part of the concert organizer for non-compliance with the contractual requirements with inconvenience.

Personally, I would prefer to finish the half-finished Roxy album and possibly combine it with a tour. Even if the album does not have the quality of earlier Roxy albums. I could live with it. A Roxy album is still better than none. Besides, I am very curious what they produced in the studio at the time. I would like to hear that.

To be honest: Manifesto, their 1979 Reunion album, has not reached the quality of previous albums (my personal opinion!). They have produced and released it to re-position themselves in the market and to put an exclamation mark again.

Why should it not be possible now?
