Prairie Rose opened the show the first time I saw Roxy live in 1974. Loved it ever since. So glad it was part of the set for the 2011 tour because it had never been played at any Roxy or Ferry gig I had attended between times. |

Roxy played it at their Koko Club in Camden, was that 2011? Can't remember! |

Koko was indeed in June 2005; how time flies! Pretty sure that was where I first met John O'B & Roxy too. Prairie Rose was played that night and at the Isle Of Wight festival the following weekend (Koko was essentially a warm up gig for the IoW), then dropped from the setlist. I think that was its first airing since the Country Life tours (both hemispheres). |

Actually, Pianoman, I meant that I met VRM member and resident archivist Roxy, rather than the band, at Koko! I have been lucky enough to briefly meet all of them individually since then, however. And if you'd told me in 1973, when I bought my first Roxy record (Pyjamarama), THAT would ever happen, I'd have thought you were quite insane... |

It was at the Koko Club that I hung around chatting to the guys from Roxy Magic and who should appear on stage to break down his own gear but Andy MacKay himself! (Still, would you trust some hairy arsed roadie with your Selmer Mk VIs?) |
