Has there been any word on why the omitted tracks weren’t included? Surely it has to be for technical reasons as there seems to be plenty of time left on the CD for them?

The CD booklet contains a photo of the original tape recording and it seems to suggest that the three omitted tracks weren't recorded for some reason.

Finally got around to purchasing the CD yesterday, the booklet is lovely and vindicates my decision not to splash out of the Deluxe edition as it contains all the photo's from that set and also the text from the original tour programme. Really looking forward to listening to it now.

Looks like it'll be just the one week on the main album chart, as nowhere to be seen on the midweek update. Disappointing but not exactly unexpected given the very 'niche' nature of live albums.

Germany: #46 new entry this week (could be worse - at least some folks remember him ...)

I’ve got the vinyl version of this record. I’m not sure whether the intermittent but repetitive clicking sound I hear on several tracks is :-
A) the pressing
B) from the original tape conversion
C) just my imagination
D) fingers ( ah, no)

Here in the States the RAH cd got reviewed yesterday on the Terry Gross radio show "Fresh Air." This show is nationally syndicated to public radio stations throughout the US and has a HUGE audience. It is a very positive review but the authority of the reviewer (Ken Tucker) is weirdly diminished because he references Roxy Music drummer "Chris Thompson" What? Oh well, at least he got the last name right...

-Ever heard of Roxy guitarist Chris Spedding? Some people believe that too.

The deluxe RAH box has been reduced in price by 50% (from a whopping £120 to £60) in BF's webstore, but for 24 hours only!

No extra music, so its appeal may not be broad, but for completists it represents quite a saving... :D

Got the email earlier and ordered it. I balked at £120 but £60 is indeed a bit more attractive.

I got my half price deluxe box set on Friday. I was impressed long before I got to the product because the packaging just to get it through the mail was exemplary.

I'd say at £60, this still feels expensive for one LP, an identical single CD and some limited paraphernalia, although the signed print is rather exquisite and probably just about justifies the cost (though I'm not at all clear if it's personally signed or printed). As something of a completist, I'm happy I bought it but equally I feel vindicated in my initial decision not to part with £120. Anyone still toying with the idea, it's still reduced in the BF shop but is now £80. I guess there might be further offers in the future.
