Just when you think you’ve seen it all a video turns up that I’ve never seen before. It’s a lip synced version of More Than This from a Spanish TV show in 2001 according to the uploader. 2001 was the RM reunion but that didn’t start until June and Bryan seems to have many of his ATGB band with him here. Also his hair is longer than the short style he had for the ATGB tour so the timeline seems right. Any of your good selves have any more info on this performance? https://youtu.be/MuVnFW29798 |

Blimey, Scott you’re right, it certainly appears to be ATGB tour. I’m digging the sax playing with no one there and the girls playing strings when there are none on the track. Borders on embarrassing. |

Ha ha - it certainly is a bit cringey. One wonders how much of an input Bryan had into this - it would be good to know the background. Roxy announced the reunion in February so was this filmed after that date to promote the Spanish date and this song was done because it was a Roxy number? If so then why just Bryan and not the rest of the band? I doubt it would be Bryan’s choice to do the lip synch but rather the tv show and their requirements/limitations. |
