Hipsters,
Forever the optimist, our hero has added a U.K. fandango for next year.
Tickets are on sale and you can enjoy a days racing followed by chansons from Bryan. All with 45,000 of your closest friends.
W2 will be sitting this one out in the hope that something better comes up.
There is also the small matter of trust in ticket agencies to be considered.
Salutations,
Windswept.

Not to mention the great British weather. I'll be sitting this one out too in favour of, hopefully, something a little more comfortable. Sign of the times.

This is the rescheduled date for the Newmarket Nights gig which was originally set for 26th June 2020. Mrs Smudge fancied the race meeting, so we were all ticketed up until Covid came along...

It was part of my plan to catch the European leg of the 2020 tour once each month (in part just in case of any tasty setlist changes...), but Stockholm (May), Newmarket (June) & Cologne (July) were sadly not to be.

The Newmarket date was rescheduled quite a while ago, but it was another month or so before the local hotels resumed taking bookings (we're reliant on public transport). When they did, the prices were ridiculously high; one night's accommodation would have cost more than the event tickets and train fares combined.

When I explained this to the Jockey Club (which handles ticket sales directly), they quickly offered me a full refund, even though they were probably under no legal obligation to do so. I hope that may provide some reassurance to anyone considering this event.
