It`s a bit about which Ferry you prefer. Is it the Ferry that reminds you about past glories, or the Ferry of today? A random fan would say the former, but a diehard would say the latter. There is no doubt that when you hear "I Put a Spell on You", you`ll think of late Roxy, and when you hear the more cabaret style songs, you`ll think of Ferry of today. Regarding my precious list, I think you`ll see my view.

That means a lot W2, take care...your reminiscence of meeting Ferry in Paris made me smile without envy!

I omitted to list a track from Dylanesque. That was not deliberate , so let me add “The Times they are a-changing” from this album.
It’s my opinion that Ferry has covered Dylan better on his other solo works, including 2 superb tracks on Frantic.

1. These Foolish Things
2. Another Time Another (surprisingly difficult choice between four tracks but this edges it for being an original composition)
3. You Go To My Head
4. Love Me Madly Again
5. This Island Earth
6. Don't Stop the Dance (hate leaving out the title track here - both are masterpieces)
7. Day for Night
8. Rescue Me
9. The Only Face
10. I'm in the Mood for Love
11. Hiroshima
12. Gates of Eden
13. Reason or Rhyme
14. This Island Earth
15. Driving Me Wild
16. Boys & Girls

Best original track: Don't Stop the Dance
Best cover: Rescue Me

I'm surprised how middle of the road my choices actually are:

These Foolish Things – Sympathy For the Devil
Another Time Another Place – The ‘In’ Crowd
Let’s Stick Together – Let’s Stick Together
In Your Mind – Party Doll
The Bride Stripped Bare – This Island Earth
Boys & Girls – Slave To Love
Bete Noire – New Town
Taxi – Answer Me
Mamouna - Chain Reaction
As Time Goes By – Miss Otis Regrets
Frantic – Hiroshima (tying with I Thought)
Dylanesque – Make You Feel My Love (such a shame that scrumptet Adele got there at the same time!)
Olympia – Tender Is The Night
The Jazz Age – This Island Earth
Avonmore – Lost
Bitter Sweet – Zamba

Best Original – In Your Mind
Best Cover – Let's Stick Together (it's just a brilliant cover)
Best B-Side/Bonus Track – As The World Turns

Hipsters & Furloughed Fandangoists,

W2 is particularly impressed with both Dean and Tryptich’s submissions.

Indeed, if he wasn’t so massively impressed with his own list, he might go with Tryptich’s.

Hopefully Smudge will be along to provide forensic analysis !

Salutations et bonne anne.
