I loved YGTMH when it was released and felt utterly crestfallen at its lack of commercial success. For some time though now, it's sounded incredibly lacklustre to me and always gives me the impression it was something of a 'filler' to maintain BF in the nation's conscience as a solo artist. With the benefit of the self same hindsight that seems more plausible given it had so little in common with what followed.

The result doesn’t compare well with either Billie Holiday’s piano centric version or with Sinatra’s lush orchestral version.

Clearly, BF invariably interprets songs magnificently but even he will struggle to equal the lofty heights of Sinatra at his finest, never mind surpass them (despite them sharing unsurpassed ability when phrasing lyrics). After all, surely Sinatra is the finest recording vocalist of all time?
