I'm so sorry to read about your loss windswept, I check in often and your posts still always make me chuckle!

BF has done a beautiful rendition of this song and I hope you're finding some comfort in listening to it.

Remember to take care of yourself, it's easy not to when going through heartbreak x

All these years latter, Bryan brings it back with his magnificent interpretation just as I am enduring the biggest loss of all.

Very sorry to her you are suffering a loss in your life. I can relate to new music of Bryan's coinciding with a bereavement in my family some years ago - the two forever now intertwined.

It might seem churlish or cliched to offer up the customary 'it get's easier over time', but it is true. Perhaps not easier, but time smooths those rough edges.

Best wishes,

Richard

Very well said, UKRichard. And my condolences to Windswept, too.

Bryan's new song from which I didn't know the original goes slowly but heavily into my ears. Typical Ferry sound as we like it, strong voice (recorded earlier?) and a nice violin solo (Lucy Wilkins? Marina Moore?). I still hope that I can get the EP as a CD record because I didn't buy vinyl since the late 80s (ok, except from Roxy Ladytron Extended Mix and Roxy Wilson Mix 2.0).

It belongs to a different thread but I wish all the best to Roxy Music for their world tour. I am still a little bit puzzling why they don't come to the European continent - a trip to UK or USA/CAN is too expensive for me at the moment. But who knows which CDs or DVDs will be published in the course of 2022 ...

Cher W2,
Mes condoléances. La vie est dur parfois.
J'espere que tu vas continuer d'ecrire á cet forum comme d'habitude - tu es le meilleur!

Besides, I think that the great pianoman is right. Should be the reverse. A handfull shows in North America and, let's say 15 In UK & Europe. And yes, let's hope that Love letters will be released as cd as well as vinyl.
Bonne soirée à tous!

Mes Amis,
Not so long ago a wise lady said:
“The price of love is grief and the greater the love, the greater the grief”.
She certainly got that one right but you should know that even in these most difficult of times, your kind words and sentiments mean a huge amount to me and are helping a lot.
As Bryan sings:
“ I’m used to doing everything with you. Planning everything for two” I know that in my mind it will be forever thus.
But that’s a good thing. She will be with me forever.
Salutations a tous et encore une fois un grand merci.
Much love,
Windswept.

WS2:
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I hope things get easier as the days pass. But that's a lot to ask...

Don't call me sentimental
Those of you who care
Could find there a lover and a friend, to the end

It is written in your mind...
