Just noticed on FB that Bryan Ferry is promoting a digital release of ‘A Fool For Love ‘ .. The Clip on the page sounds like a slightly slower version of the swoony Alphaville session - which in my opinion was much more interesting than the ‘Dire Straits’ piano version on Frantic. I clicked the link and it took me to the Frantic version. Why use the Alphaville session if it’s not included in the digital release ?!? |

Indeed. I just checked this out, and it’s simply sloppy on the part of the team. And who are these digital downloads targeted at? Not me, for sure. But , Gardner, you genius, ‘Dire straits’, you had me questioning my own taste… A Fool for Love will never sound like anything else now. |

Ha - I’m sorry for making you doubt that version of the song .. I’ll never forget my shock when I heard it. I loved the Alphaville version so much .. in fact I felt like that about most of Frantic - except for ‘I Thought’ which I will always adore !! |
