Quite the milestone. 80 years, 53 spent entertaining us with the most sophisticated, imaginative and stylish music. A hearty happy birthday, Mr Ferry.

Thank you, Mr. Ferry, for inspiring me and entertaining me during more than 53 years. A big day for a great man and definitely the artist of my life: Happy birthday and stay healthy!

To mark BF's birthday, BBC4 broadcast back-to-back 'Roxy Music & Bryan Ferry at the BBC', 'Bryan Ferry: BBC One Sessions' and 'Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music: A Musical History'. All repeats (no original programming) but for those in the UK who haven't seen them - or not seen them for a while - they're currently all available on BBC i-Player.
