Although Andy has ceased live performances with the Clang Group, the promo announcement of the band's debut album suggests that he plays on it.

The digital bonus EP sounds very much like the 10-inch album which Andy played on; quite how much of the new release features him will require a bit more research.

I pre-ordered the CD and it arrived early! Played it yesterday in the car and enjoyed the majority of the ten songs. The sax isn't as prominent as in the live shows, but appears on most of the tracks. Trouble is there are 3 sax players listed in the credits and despite listening to Andy for over 40 years now and being familiar with his tone, I can't be sure which tracks actually feature the Emperor himself!
I wondered if anyone has better ears or even some inside information on who plays where.

Rumour has it of an appearance by The Emperor Himself at the Clang Bands's LP launch at The Islington tonight, 3/XI/16?

Dear Miniluv,

In my humble opinion:

MacKay on tracks 1, 3, 5, 6, 7(?) & 10's solo.

Cath Roberts on baritone on tracks 2, 3 & 4.

I think the Steve Hamilton track is track 9, possibly on 7, and all bar the solo in track 10?

But then what do I know eh?
;) ;)
