And so our intrepid septet of Jocelyn Fiske, Lee Sullivan, Ivor Canning, Mr & Mrs Smudge, Princess Alison and myself congregated at St. Anne's Church, Dean Street, Soho for our latest pilgrimage.

Following acoustic xmas songs in the street (a la 'The Players', Andy and Phil included), the church's new façade was blessed by none other than the Bishop of London. We then processed through the church to the large garden area complete with marquee.

Here we were royally entertained by 'The Soho Allstars' (Mackay, Manzanera, Percy MacKay and friends, two fine singers and Guy Pratt) with the following set:

Surf Rider
Comanche
Apache
Telstar
Love Is The Drug
More Than This
Jealous Guy
Fairy Tale Of New York
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

All on tip top form, especially Manzo, it was deeply satisfying to see The Emperor Himself behind his much missed tenor sax, on which he produced some raucous 50's style solo's (think King Curtis), which made us all feel twenty years younger!

Gracious and friendly as ever, the MacKay's thanked us for our support before heading off for a break in Florence.

A truly wonderful festive evening. Big thanks to Smudge for hearing about this, getting tickets and (hopefully) putting up some pics of the evening.

Merry Xmas everybody.

Unfortunately Phil & Andy were in different areas of the stage, so I couldn't photograph them together, Stabbs.

Here's a couple of individual (slightly grainy) iPhone snaps, though.
