So tonight's gig at RAH is cancelled due to "ill health". Anyone got any news?

I saw Tara Ferry outside and asked if he was alright, he was polite and said thank you for the good wishes, and made a gesture to the throat.

In other words it could be a virus of some sort.

I feel gutted for anyone who was there for the show.

The former Roxy Music star, 69, pulled out of his Royal Albert Hall gig after suffering a throat infection, according to his management team.

"It is with great regret that Bryan Ferry has been forced to cancel tonight’s show at the Royal Albert Hall following medical advice due to a severe throat infection," they said in a statement.
"Many apologies to all the fans for the late notice and inconvenience."

A spokeswoman for the Royal Albert Hall said: "We regret to announce that following medical advice due to a severe throat infection, it has been necessary to cancel tonight’s performance by Bryan Ferry at the Royal Albert Hall. We would like to apologise to all fans for the late notice and any inconvenience this has caused.

"We hope that it may be possible to reschedule this concert in the future. All ticket holders will be contacted and information will be made available on our website at http://www.royalalberthall.com as soon as it is available."

I spoke with son Isaac outside door three at 8 p.m. - he reported that his father made the decision as late as 7:15 p.m. and really regretted having to do so but was on medical advice. He said it was a throat infection and that he was particularly disappointed as he hadn't seen the Avonmore tour to-date.

All in all the crowd seemed more concerned and disappointed than angry. We wish Bryan well and speedy recovery. We hope he can reschedule the RAH soon!

Does seem a late shout but I guess (?) he hoped to be able to perform right upto last minute.

What a real pity. He has been sounding great throughout the tour. He must be so disappointed.

Yes this is indeed a great pity for all the fans waiting to see him this week . Hope Bryan is ok for Brighton, Portsmouth, Poole and Bristol. I must admit that when I booked our tickets for Oxford, I booked then because it is the nearest place to us but also because the gig was one of the first ones and I had hoped that his voice would be in fine fettle - which it was . Fingers crossed for you all.

Really disappointing for the fans that haven't been able to see him yet on this tour. I seen him last week in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Sheffield and Glasgow and he was sounding really good. The reviews that he has been receiving from this tour as well have been great.

Hopefully he will be able to go ahead with the remaining tour dates and the RAH gig gets a rescheduled date. With the next show being on Thursday it may be touch and go whether it goes ahead - particularly with his previous throat problems.

Hopefully everything will work out well for the fans that have yet to go to a show - and for Bryan as this must be so disappointing and frustrating for him.
