Hi All... Both Ends Burning was released as a 7" single this month in 1975 (unbelievably only managed to make no. 25 in the charts). It was promoted with film of the Wembley concert performance of a couple of months earlier where they tried to sync the studio version of the song with the live Wembley performance... but not very well some might say.
Anyway, not having seen this before, here is the EXTENDED live version (as per the Viva LP release) with the audio and video properly sych'd.... enjoy.

Absolutely brilliant - not seen that before, thanks for the link Billy.
BEB is a Roxy staple but not sure it's ever been better than '75. I find it bewildering stuff like this is languishing in the archives. Some bright spark will probably release it to mark the centenary of the performance, when we're all long dead and buried!

I still find the Siren's back up vocals to be an unfortunate contribution to an otherwise solid track featuring nice sax from AM. However, PM's guitar solo is not among his most engaging - serviceable but little more...

Chers amis!

Merci, Billy. a great version of one of my Roxy favourites. It´s like an anthem for the hedonist inside me that has been fairly calm lately.

Here is another interesting clip:

Bonne soirée à tous!

None of those links seem to be available now. :( I wonder if one of them might have been "Nacho", he had a few remastered videos on YT and BEB was one of them.

Both Ends Burning was a great single and it was sad it didn't do better in the UK charts. It was actually released in December of 1975 and not June.

8-)

Hedonistic Hipsters,
Windswept has been locked up for so long he feels like a line from this lurid anthem.
That said, the time to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the single will be November, as the superbly knowledgeable ‘Roxy’ noted.
In the interim W2 ‘Will dance the night away living only for today’ whilst playing his favourite version from the 2003 Livd Album.
Salutations a tous et tres bon unlock,
Windswept

This was my Very First exposure to RM..
I had the Viva! album at age 16 and at that time here in America we were listening to Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, we didn't really start hearing any Roxy or Bowie until around 1974 here

I was Mesmerized

Who Was this Fascinating band with this Unusual sound
