I’ve started to work my way through these, and I cannot believe I’m hearing stuff that I’ve never heard before - in Ferry’s vocals, those of his backing vocalist, and percussion . This is just a start as I feel other instrumentals will sound enhanced.

I've listened to a few on my fancy new apple headphones and I'm not sure I like it - I listened to Windswept ( felt that the mix seemed to separate the song out - it didn't feel cohesive - didn't feel the same vibe as I did with the original ) Your Painted smile (sounded really bassey in the middle sections and I couldn't hear the chiming guitar line clearly - which is my fave noise on that song ) listened to a few others and felt the same - The Chosen One - too much going on - hard to focus .... maybe I'll get used to it but it all sounded a bit weird to me - even the vocals sound too clear as if they've been turned up in the mix ... I think I prefer the old mixes - I'm used to them and they created my feels initially ... can this Dolby Atmos be turned off ?

I have been revisiting "Bête Noire," which was a favorite of mine back in the day. I’m really enjoying the clarity of the sound, and Ferry’s vocals are higher in the mix than I remember.

I'm planning to listen to Mamouna & Taxi next.

All of these albums are from the digital age, and I suspect that the analog recordings from the 1970s might be more challenging to process. However, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for similar remastering of all of Roxy Music and Bryan’s work from 1973 to 1979.

The Best of Roxy Music compilation is listed as Dolby Atmos on Apple Music.
I’ve not seen that promoted as such, and not yet listened to it. I will check it out soon.
