Assuming it's a single CD (no earlier reports suggest otherwise), I'd expect the £13.99 pre-order price to drop by £4 or £5 in due course. No harm in pre-ordering, though, as Amazon guarantees to charge buyers the lowest of the varying pre-order prices.
No sign yet on HMV.com or SainsburysEntertainments.co.uk, but worth watching, as the latter often comes up cheapest these days.

It will be worth a listen and hopefully it will be quite engaing and enjoyable.
Given that BF has for some 40 years been known and promoted as a singer it is a bit strange for a BF album not to have any vocals. How his fan base will react to this shift will be interesting to observe.
I did note that the songs in the album come from a wide swath of the BF and Roxy catalog (only FYP is drawn upon for more than one song). So at one level this album can be perceived as yet one more attempt to draw public attention to the BF/Roxy catalog. Nothing wrong with that, but it falls into a well-worn tradition...

I never thought I was likely to look at the musical credits of a BF album and see names attributed to washboard, maracas and, crucially, spoons. The fact that this does indeed look likely according to this teaser makes 'The Jazz Age' all the more intriguing. This looks like it might be a fairly affectionate and rather lighthearted addition to the Roxy / BF catalogue and hopefully all the more enjoyable for ir. Time will tell.

While driving home this afternoon I got to thinking about BF's Jazz Album, and it struck me that this bears a similarity to a host of album's where the Blah-de-Blah String Quartet plays the music of the Velvet Underground, or Led Zeppelin, or Radiohead, or you-name-the-band. In this case it's not a string quartet, but rather a group of musicians skilled in classic jazz. And then I began to think that what BF is up to is not all that strange or off-the-wall.
