Dave Stewart

Dave Stewart has co-written several songs with Bryan Ferry during the late '90s. Some of this material is due to be released on Bryan's 'Frantic' album in 2002.

Dave Stewart is probably best known as the Eurythmics partner of Annie Lennox. With over 30 million album sales to their credit, in 1999 they were given the Lifetime Achievement award at the Brits. As a record producer, Dave has worked with some of the biggest names in the business including Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, Sinead O'Connor and Aretha Franklin. He has won the Brit's Best Producer and Best British Song Writer four times, plus numerous Grammy and MTV awards.

As an artist and a filmmaker, Dave has written many film scores - most recently Robert Altman's Cookie's Fortune.

As writer/director he saw his first feature film, Honest, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was described by the Sunday Times as a cult classic.

He launched a new cable channel, Innergy, dedicated to alternative living in May 2000.

Dave is also an acclaimed visual artist whose work has been displayed in the Paris Museum of Modern Art, the Saatchi Gallery, the Whitney Museum in NYC and the Tate Gallery in London. His photography has appeared on the front of national magazines (Sunday Times, Arena UK, Raygun USA) and in many major advertising campaigns including British Telecom, Russell Athletic and Cannon Cameras.

Stewart is also a keen educationalist, acting as an external examiner for the University of Westminster. Most recently, he has been appointed Honourary President of the Internet Society Trinity College, Dublin. He has lectured on creativity to the UK Government, The Advertising Industry, National Film Theatre and many other institutions. He continues to demonstrate his commitment to both education and the arts, especially the cutting edge of new media.
