Sarah Brown

Sarah Brown performed backing vocals during the 2001 Roxy Music tour. She was the new name in the band in that all the other musicians had worked with Bryan Ferry before. Sarah has sung live with Bryan Ferry on several of his solo tours since then.

Sarah's studio work with Bryan Ferry can be heard on the albums 'Frantic' & 'Dylanesque'

Sarah Brown has been singing since she was seven years old. A leading member of 'The Inspirational Choir' for eight years, she recorded an album with them for CBS which was successful in the UK and Europe. Her pure voice allied to great feeling and emotion drew her to the attention of such luminaries as Stevie Wonder, George Michael and Simply Red amongst a host of others.

In 1996, Sarah recorded a solo album for the Polystar label. Three succesive singles taken from the album achieved Top Ten status in Japan.

In 2001 she was invited to join the Roxy Music tour and her powerful, soulful vocals have added an extra dimension to the band's music and performance and her voice/guitar duet with Chris Spedding on 'My Only Love' is one of the most haunting and evocative moments of the Roxy set.

Out with her work with Bryan Ferry + Roxy Music Sarah has worked with Stevie Wonder, Simply Red, George Michael, Pink Floyd, Duran among others.

She has been backing vocalist on the last few Simple Minds tours and albums and can be heard on their new album 'Direction Of The Heart'

You can read at her website (link below) more about her career, new album and forthcoming live shows at Ronnie Scott's & 100 Club in London where she will be joined on stage by Roxy/Ferry cohort Colin Good.
