Tim Wheater

Tim Wheater played flute and Chinese reed flute on Resolving Contradictions.He is recognized as a brilliant flautist, an accomplished composer, and sound healer. Tim's background is as diverse as his many talents - he studied flute at the Guildhall School of Music in London where he met Annie Lennox, and received a scholarship from the French government to study in Paris with Marcel Moyse, Jean-Pierre Rampal, and Roger Bourdin. His final studies were with the Eastman School of Music in New York, where he learned solo technique from James Galway.

In addition to spending three years touring and recording with the Eurythmics, Tim was the flautist for the rock groups Bronski Beat and Ugly Kid Joe. He has performed with major symphony orchestras, including the London and Birmingham Symphony Orchestras under conductors Simon Rattle and Sir Adrian Boult. Other career highlights include playing with legendary jazz figures like Sonny Stitt and Al Di Miola.
