Bryan Ferry CBE

Bryan Ferry has been awarded a CBE in the Queen's birthday honours.

His CBE (Commander Of The British Empire) is awarded for services to music.

Bryan says: "It is a great honour to receive this award for services to music,"  He went on to praise the people that he has worked with over the years and expressed thanks to "all the musicians and others behind the scenes who have helped me throughout my career".         

Other musicians who suffix their name with CBE are:

Robert Plant, Sting,  Malcolm Arnold, Shirley Bassey, Roger Daltry, Barry and Robin Gibb to name a few.
