Bryan Ferry To Appear On Anders Trentemoller Album

23 April 2008

**1st May UPDATE** www.ramdam.com have mentioned that Bryan Ferry will perform at the Lokeren Festival in Belgium in August 10th this year. I will try and confirm if Bryan will perform there for definite. (Watch this space) More Details Here Bryan Ferry has recorded vocals for Anders Trentemøller's new album . The Danish techno legend critically-lauded debut ‘The Last Resort’ was a completely instrumental record. Anders said: "He emailed me out of the blue and asked if I would do a remix for him and it turns out he was a huge fan of my last album. We decided that I would do that if he would do some vocals for me – it’s a really big honour, as he is one of my musical heroes." Bryan's only other appearances on other artists albums are a duet with Jane Birkin on her Rendezvous album, playing harmonica on Chris Spedding's Click Clack album and was also thanked on the Scissor Sisters second album 'Ta Dah'. I can exclusively announce the band for the forthcoming live dates. The welcome news is that The Great Paul Thompson is back behind the kit. Two fairly new names to the Bryan Ferry band are Lucy Jules on backing vocals. Lucy has worked with The Brand New Heavies, George Michael and is a member of the band 'Road'. The other unfamiliar name is bassist Jerry Meehan who has worked with Robbie Williams. Jerry played a few selected dates last year in UK with Bryan and both Jerry & Lucy appeared with Bryan for a one off performance in Italy at the Piedigrotta Festival. The full band can be seen at the link below.
