Zamba was written by Bryan Ferry and Pat Leonard for his album Bete Noire, one of only 2 songs Bryan has written in 3/4 time. This song was rehearsed with a segue to Ladytron for Bryan's 1999/2000 tour but he never performed it at any of the shows. To the surprise and delight of the fans, Bryan performed this song for the first time in Belfast on the 2015 tour and became part of the st list for the tour.
The Zamba is a love dance with a choreography which originates from "La Zamacueca (from Lima-Perú) and from the chilean " Cueca ". The name originates from " La Zamba "(an ancient peruvian dance).
