PINE CLIFFS Resort (Sheraton Algarve Hotel and Pine Cliffs Vacation Club) is pleased to announce its 9th Summer Gala, on August 2, with the performance of Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music.
Bryan Ferry and the famed 70s pop-art Roxy Music, a highly regarded and heavily influential UK band, came out together in the early 70s. They became phenomenally successful due to the perfect combination of arty glam rock style and pop swing standards. From the several albums recorded throughout the 70s and 80s, Stranded and Avalon topped the charts.
Bryan Ferry also carved out a successful solo career as a writer and performer, and has taken his place as one of the most innovative and distinctive romantic singers and lyricists to emerge in popular music – always modern and instantly classic. One of his best ballads, Slave to Love, was the sound track of the well known film Nine and a Half Weeks. In 2001, Bryan Ferry reformed Roxy Music Band and announced a 50-date reunion World Tour, with the participation of former band members, MacKay and Manzanera.
