During his period with Roxy Music, Paul also played on the first four Bryan Ferry solo albums, and both Andy Mackay and Phil Manzanera's solo work. He also played on Eno's first solo album 'Here Com the Warm Jets' album and toured with Bryan Ferry on his 1977 ‘In Your Mind tour as well as fitting in some dates with Phil Manzanera's 801.
His post Roxy session work included such diverse acts as punk band, The Angelic Upstarts on their 1983 album 'Reason Why' and Blues/Rock man Gary Moore on his Emerald Aisles Live In Ireland tour in 1985 which was released on video. He joined the band Concrete Blonde who covered Roxy's "End Of The Line" and had two successful albums in Bloodletting and Mexican Moon.
Paul spent most of the 1990's in local bands in his native
Roxy Music did some live dates in 2003, 2005 and 2006. Paul had to pull out of the 2006 shows due to illness and was replaced by Andy Newmark for the tour.
Both Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay recruited Paul’s drumming services again for their solo albums. He would appear on Phil’s album ‘6PM’ and ’50 Minutes Later’. He also joined Andy Mackay's band the Metaphors and did some live dates in 2008 and the band released the album "
Paul was back on the Roxy Music drum stool for their 2010 festival tour and we look forward to seeing him on the 2011 Roxy Music tour.
